About Me

Here’s the obvious first fact about me…I’m a single mom. A mom of two beautiful kids living every day to the fullest on our own. My eldest is 10 years old boy and my baby girl (I use this term loosely) is 5.

They both love and fight each other fiercely. My kids each have different dads… but what do you do when you want two children and the first relationship doesn’t work out?

If you are me, you try again! However, this means I have two very different personalities that I deal with regularly (yes, my kids, but I actually meant their dads). As a backgrounder – one of the dads is fairly easy to deal with and… well… one is not.

I will do my best to give you a snapshot of our life as a single mom’s family but I know that we are luckier than many. I have a job that pays the bills, and our very own house that I purchased before the boom. We share our house with two amazing pets – Molly our dog, Angel our cat.

We have an interesting life and we likely do things quite differently than a two-parent household. I faced so many challenges with raising my kids alone. As with any new mom, I made many mistakes with parenting.

So, whenever I have a problem with one of my children, I had to start searching online, reading books and asking experienced moms for helpful information that would help me deal with my new parenting challenges.

I started this blog when one of my new Twitter friends told me that they would like to hear more about my single mom’s life experiences to help her with raising her children too.

So I decided to help other moms with raising their children too by sharing with them my thoughts and experiences that I have accumulated over the past years as a single mom.

I also know there are many other single moms out there that may like to read about someone who experiences similar events or moms that may be looking for community support.

I raised two kids alone and though tough and challenging, I did it! It is truly amazing how good we as moms can be when we do it alone!

I am by no means an expert in Family Law but I am an expert in listening and sharing my thoughts with other moms. So I would love to hear from you too.

Welcome to my little corner of the blogging world!
